I enjoy running in Newtons to support my mid-foot strike. The five lugs on the sole provide the stability I need to stay safe on the road. I pronate and keep going back to the 5 lugs. Unfortunately, I only average 250 miles out of my shoes, but have found the shoe for me. Ready to break them in for my next marathon.
Be safe out there and have fun.

              Not for everyone

I really wanted to like this one as I've grown to love Newton's, but they are going back. My toes were aching after a few wears and it didn't feel like there was enough cushioning there. It feels fine for a couple of miles, but that's all I can go in them. Not good for more than 3 or 4 miles.

I've tried a lot of Newtons, have only loved my two latest-the distance 3 and these. It is possible I've only recently learned how to correctly run in Newtons, but I also believe the 5 lugs have helped in comfort and performance. The kismet fits me well, has plenty of toe room, hugs the rest of my foot like a regular running shoe. It does not feel as minimal as my distance 3s and is not quite as fast, but is still great to run in. I love that newton keeps the uppers minimal without a lot of extra padding/stuffing-I hate most regular running shoes because of this. I've grown to love the effortless speed I have with newtons--( I am just trying the hoka cliftons and while they are comfortable and light, i just don't feel as fast and easy in them as in my newtons.) The lugs do wear down rather quickly, I often get a mushy sound on wet pavement, so there are improvements that can be made, but all in all Newtons are my favorite shoe.

This is my third pair of Newtons. I have tried the Isaac S, and Distance U.
What I love about the Kismet has 5 lugs instead of 4 in the Isaac S and Distance U. With 4 lugs my feet rolled out too much and the outside lugs wore down too soon. In my experience, the Newtons run big. I would prefer a tighter fit in the toes and heel. Otherwise, I love these shoes and I will probably buy them again.
