Just the best of all of them

By Neil

from Dallas, TX, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I've tried just about every band out there. And I've been using some form of workout log/tracking type system for over 20 years (back in the day of the little spiral bound Jeff Galloway-based notebook log things). So once the first activity bands started to come out, I jumped on it. Had the very first-gen Jawbone UP band, and like everyone else who had that early model, mine failed. And the replacement they sent also failed. And again. They were nice enough to refund my money. So then the FitBits started to show up. I got one of the FitBit 'One' model - the one that clamps onto your belt or waistband, whatever. Not bad, but it fell off a few times, and I really wanted a better BAND. So then the second-generation UP came out. Also tried it. Bottom line, the UP isn't made to withstand water or harsh conditions. Just not tough enough. So I replaced it with a FitBit Flex. Very nice. But I was still using a watch - a Polar RS-300 watch/heart rate monitor thing. I wanted ONE band to replace them both. When the Loop was announced I jumped all over it. Haven't even about replacing with something else. It looks great, feels great on the wrist, does all the functions I want without missing a beat - it's the only band that is 'set it and forget it'. No need to put in 'sleep mode' to track your sleep, or 'activity mode' to track your workout. It's really simple and easy. Get it - you won't regret it.

Love Mine ~

By ChaseB

from San Diego, CA, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

When the LOOP was first released there were a lot of quirks with the iPhone App which turned a lot of people off it initially but that all seems to be in the past now & I'm loving mine! I use it exclusively now (daily tracking/sleep metrics) & with the H7 for my training - I love how it uploads to my iPhone & it keeps everything all on one platform.

I like better than Jawbone and Tidbit

By HailCesar

from Pacifica, CA, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I've been wearing this for over a month now. It's a'ight. I'm not using it as much as when I first bought it. I wear it only during waking hours. As for sizing it, I suggest you take the long route. You need to go one clip at a time. It might be a drag to dissemble and reassemble for each cut. But you do want an honest fit. Rushing the cuts will only lead to a loop that doesnt fit.

Nice activity tracking.

By glenjust

from Davenport, IA, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I wanted something to track my activity while inline skating so I wouldn't need to carry my smartphone running MyFiness. This device accomplishes that. Also, my phone is an android and will not pair with my bluetooth hr strap. This device does. My only complaints are the need to plug the charghing/data cord into the back (a cradle would be nice) and the inability of the software to edit the stored activities (such as inputting miles logged on a treadmill or stationary bike).

Could be great

By AJoe

from Undisclosed

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I have had my loop for a little while now and like it well enough, but it is a little frustrating that all of the features do not work and it doesn't last nearly 5 days on a single charge. I have found that I have to charge my loop daily (I just do it at night when I'm sleeping) and the longest I have been able to go is just short of 2 days. This shortfall alone takes a star away from my rating. As for the features, it is still advertised by Polar as a beta product, so I have to reserve some level of judgement until they take the beta designation away. However, it is frustrating that you can't search for people you know on the flow website to follow them, the training benefit feature doesn't seem to work at all in either the android app or on the website, and the app does not give inactivity alerts throughout the day without pushing the loop button to sync to the app (the loop should stay synced to the app while in range of my phone and then alert me in real time rather than waiting for a manual sync at which point it is of little to no use to remind me to get up and move). I wish I could take away another half star for these shortcomings and several other minor ones....but like I said, still beta. If beta ends and these problems persist, then I'd have to take away a full star, but for now it is a 4 out of 5 because it does do a lot of things well. I use the H7 strap while working out and it seems to keep an accurate record of the training session, which can be categorized on the website and more details added. Furthermore, it generally tracks overall activity throughout the day pretty well in a relative "steps" kind of way. Other high points are that it is fully waterproof, fits very well (after cutting down the strap which is very easy to do), and provides a good amount of information on the device itself -- activity, steps, calories, time. It also shows heart rate when connected to the H7 (or H6) strap. One improvement would be to give the inactivity alert directly on the device (like the low batter alert) and also show battery life remaining. The bottom line is that for the price, it is worth it and a good buy. If Polar continues to make improvements and address some issues, it will turn into a great buy.

Fantastic Product

By TexasTery

from Allen, TX, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I have my Polar loop for over a year and I has been fantastic. I had a Jawbone up an it quick working twice and all my friends that have had Fitbits, their buttons have broken off. It is very easy to size and to get set up. I followed the instructions and it only took about 10 minutes. Once on it stays on. Even if the latch comes undone you notice off you notice it right away and it does not fall off. Again I have friends with other devices that have come undone and fallen off their arms. The display is bigger and brighter than competitive models and once I got used to hitting the recessed button it became very easy to use. It syncs with the Polar Flow app very easily and the information is great. It keeps a charge for at least 5 days and only takes about 2 hours to fully recharge. I have enjoyed it very much.

Best activity tracker out.

By Acanu

from New York, NY, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

Being a personal trainer and triathlon athlete, this activity tracker is the most accurate than any other activity tracker you can find (and I've seen them all). When paired with the heart rate monitor, the loop will give you the MOST accurate calorie burn. AND it's waterproof! I have broken jawbones, nike fuels, and fitbits all because of water damage. And I didn't even swim with them on. If you want a fitness tracker that works, Polar Loop is the 1.

It Has Changed My Workouts!!

By HPink

from Undisclosed

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

warning: this might be totally uninteresting to most of you, but it's something to consider. Am a newish owner of a Polar Loop heart rate monitor and absolutely love it. It's accurate and I can set the level activity my lifestyle is so it's not giving me suggestions for someone opposite of my level of activity. I wear the Loop every day and use with with a heart rate monitor chest strap when I am actually working out. Today I left my strap at home and taught a bootcamp class without it. While my Loop still accurately detected movement and activity, it was completely wrong without the chest strap. Yesterday (with the strap) it read that my heart rate was about a 140 average, I burned 754 calories in class, and beat my daily activity goal by 47%. Today (without the strap) it says I haven't even completed a full day of average activity. I cannot stress how much I recommend getting a heart rate monitor AND chest monitor with it. You think you may burn 700 calories because an instructor or Fitbit says so, but you truly don't know until you have something reading your heart rate for a more accurate rate. I know that these aren't 100% accurate, but having one has changed my work outs and my students love that I can give them an accurate read. That being said, I HIGHLY recommend the Polar Loop. It has an awesome app syncs with it and you can see how much activity you are doing throughout the day and when attached to your chest strap, it reads your heart rate on your Loop and records the stats on the app. It's held me accountable for when I think I am pushing myself. It tells you an estimate of your steps and calorie burn as well as suggestions for how to achieve your set daily goal. The app can tell you how well you've slept, but I don't really care about that, ha!

I love Polar products but...

By JenK70

from New Orleans, LA, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I love that the wristband can be used for swimming, but too bad you can't sync it with the heart rate monitor. Also, I was disappointed to find out that both Fitbit and Jawbone can be synced with the Weight Watchers App and this one can't. It would be nice if Polar works out a deal with them to be included, but overall a great product.

Beware of Water

By Chuck

from Suwanee, GA

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

Overall I'm pleased with this unit and it works for the most part as advertised. What attracted me initially to this product was the support for swimming, which is my main form of activity. Unfortunately this unit senses water as if you touched the button to bring up the display. For occasional wetness that probably wouldn't hurt, but in swimming its like every stroke activates the display (which drains the battery much faster than normal). It seems it wouldn't be that difficult to program the unit to ignore multiple regular button pushes (after 5 or 6 strokes) and remain off until sensing a period of no button activations (30-60 seconds). That may even be a way to determine swimming activity as opposed to walking (one stroke = 1 step?) Supposedly it will not synch data with every button push (15 minute max frequency?). I also found it necessary to turn off bluetooth on my phone to prevent synching too frequently and draining the charge. With that modification the unit seems quite usable and I just need to charge it once a day.

Best option!

By cadetsguy

from Pasadena, MD, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I bought this tracker almost a year ago after looking at several other trackers on the market. It's capability to be used with a chest heart rate monitor really sets it apart from other trackers. The accuracy of the chest HRM is also better than other wrist mounted trackers with built-in HRM ability that are available today. The only features that would be nice to have would be vibration for notifications and some method of checking the battery level without plugging it in but these are small potatoes. If you want a tracker that will give you an extra edge for exercising and sports, this is your tracker!

Great product with HRM

By ChanD

from Devon, PA, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

This loop works great (with HRM even greater )and gives you idea where you stand on a particular day WRT your activity.but there are some few things that needs to be addressed. 1) Using of the button should be explained much more details. 2) the loop syncs manually with IPhone on pressing the button not by auto in every hour as mentioned. 2) cannot able to choose an activity for the training session but can edit after the completion of session.because of this I have to start a second on polar beat to track my distance and it's related details when I am going for outdoor activity like jogging or cycling. 3) the alert for inactivity should be before it occurs and not after I sync and see that there was an alert due to inactivity. 4) There is some discrepancy bet. month and week view. 5) Polar beat and polar flow should be merged. Overall the base function is really good and it motivates me a lot to move.

Awesome Features and Heart Rate integration

By Ansaldo

from Santiago, Chile

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

Everythnig works greats. I bought because it has Heart Rate integration and it works perfect. The only thing that I would change is to take off the AIRPLANE MODE, because some time when you are in bad luck, the button activate itself while you are in te shower and it get itself in that mode without notice it.

Relatively much better than competion

By HCJr454

from bagram, afghanistan

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I bought this after my Nike Fuel Band fell apart and Nike refused to replace it. The Loop does it all in tracking activity plus tracks heart rate (which the Fuel Band did not do). Stylistically, the loop could use some improvement/innovation; it is difficult to read outside in the bright sun.

Just what I needed to improve my health

By witchesbrew

from Florida

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I've got a desk job, and until I got this I didn't realize how inactive I was. I received this as a gift along with the heart rate - what a combo! It has motivated me to exercise at least once a day for 20 minutes, and I feel guilty when I don't see the activity bar close to completed. Since I've been using the band for a few months people have remarked that I've lost weight. I really haven't, it's just my body composition changing - I still have to work on eating better. Since I link it up with the heart rate monitor, I do need to recharge it at least every 3 days, no big deal. The phone app does it's job for me on seeing my daily activity and estimated calorie burn. They keep upgrading the app as well and really appreciated it when it started showing your miles based on how many steps you take. I do wish they'd come out with different colors for the band.

By Attercop

from Phoenix, AZ, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I've been using Polar Loop + Polar Flow for ~ 2 months and I think it's great to track my daily activities and sleeping habits! However, since I always train outdoor with my iPhone with me, I wish that Polar Flow would record my GPS as well so that I have a map of my route. Please Polar, add this to your software!

Overall Pleased

By KimN

from Aurora, OH, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I bought this 5 months ago and I am still wearing it every day. I did a lot of research prior to making this purchase. I was looking for a HR rate monitor and fitness tracker all in one. My goal was to find one with out a chest strap, not so lucky. I figured at least this does it all and can track my HR while wearing the monitor. So here are my pros and cons for all it claims to do. Activity Goal Tracker Pro. Nice visual of % of progress towards goal Con. It will not allow you to set your own goals The inactivity alert is silent. It would be nice if it would alert me in some way, not have to sync it to see I was sitting too long. Step Tracker Pro. It seams to track the same as other trackers with about the same accuracy. Con. It counts about 1K steps more per mile than the normal. (while walking a mile around the track it will count 3K steps instead of 2K but will count it as a mile). You also have to swing your arm for it to count. (If you are walking around a grocery store and pushing the cart it will not count those steps) Calorie counter Pro. It helps me track calories burned, and makes me think and make better choices as to what I will eat. I don't think its an exact number, but really helps me have an Idea as to where I am with my calories and helps me keep on track. Sleep Tracker Pro. It does some how track your sleep, but I do not wear it to bed. Con. I feel its too big and uncomfortable to sleep with. HR Monitor. Pro. Works great with the Polar H7 bluetooth chest strap monitor and I find it to very accurate. I do strength training, resistance training, as well as calisthenics, and I infrequently loose the HR. It also sinks with my treadmill and my elliptical as soon as I turn it on. Con. You have to use it with a strap monitor. I haven't been able to find a way to sync the HR monitor to the Loop as well as the Polar Beat simultaneously. I would love to be able to get the benefits of both apps during a single work out, but as soon as I sync my Loop to the HR monitor it no longer is synced with the Polar Beat app. I can track my distance walked, or ran but not my HR. Bluetooth Syncing. Pro. It works with my Android Phone and my IPad Mini Con. The apps do not all update at the same time. I have to update them separately, also the apps do not update with I use my computer to charge and update my Loop. Another thing is that I find the Android to update with the correct information displayed on my Loop while the IPad sometimes misses some steps and calories burned. The IPad app also takes longer to update and some times have to try a few times before it picks the information up. Battery Sorry but no pro here, only Con Con, you have to plug it into a usb to charge. I can get only a full 1.5 days before I have to recharge it. Apps and software. I feel that they have a good beta version, but there is a lot of room to grow. I find my self hoping that a new update is out every time I sync it to my computer. I would love it if I could link to MyFitnesspal. I would love it if all the apps updated at the same time. I would love it if I could use both the Loop (polar flow) and the HR monitor (Polar Beat) for the same workout or if they could combine the information obtained from both during one workout to get a complete analysis of the session. So, would I recommend this product? Yes, it truly does all it claims to do. Am I looking forward to the next version (hope there is on)? Yes I am . It is not perfect but it helps give me the direction I need to stay on track. I don't take it to be exact, but a guide, and for me it works.

Great fitness tool!

By acvelo

from Ayer, MA, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I wanted a fitness device that could help me achieve my fitness goals - the Polar Loop seemed to offer this at an extremely attractive price. I purchased this along with the H7 heart rate monitor. I could not be happier with a purchase. The Loop tracks my movements, calories burned and goal attainment. My only piece of advice is to take your time in adjusting the wristband to make sure of a good fit.

Great for everybody, no matter what level you are!

By Roe33

from Haskell, NJ

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I wanted an activity tracker to keep me motivated. I choose the loop because I love to swim. I like that it can count my swimming strokes as part of my daily exercise. I am disappointed that by swimming it uses up my battery. Battery only lasts a day or a day and a half. I like that it counts all movement differently so you don't have to be a serious athlete or runner to benefit from it

Very hot tub resistance

By Ãsak

from Reykjavik, Capital Region, Iceland

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I lost my Polar-loop watch for 2 months, then I found it lying in my Hot tub 2 months later. I pushed the bottom on the watch and found out there was 22% battery left. Amazing! I recommend this protect for two reasons: 1.Very very very water resistance and strongly built. 2. It is very practical idea to only have to were the Polar Loop and the heart monitor when you are on playing sports. You don't have to run with telephone to get data from your heart monitor. 3. It is user friendly. Only one bottom.

I like it!

By katdo

from North Carolina, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I've had my Polar Loop for about 2 months now and still look at it multiple times a day to check calories and steps, which is much better than having to sync to see data. When I work out, I pair it with the HRM and that is the main reason I chose the Loop over other fitness trackers. Yea, getting the band right can be annoying, but I did it in 5 minutes not using the measuring guide, so it's not that hard. The only downside for me is that I have to charge it every 2 days.

Overall pretty good, Does not sync with MFP :(

By trae

from Denver, CO, United States

Comments about Polar Loop Monitors:

I used to be a die-hard Fitbit fan, but the day came when I wanted to be able to monitor my heart-rate while working out (and accurately), so I bought the polar loop and h7. I have been using it for several months now, and the only thing I miss about the Fitbit is it's capability to interface with nearly anything! Pretty please Polar, at least give us the ability to interface with My Fitness Pal!
